High Quality Marine Grade Stainless Steel The Tuff Dog screw in pegs are made from a high-quality marine grade stainless steel material ensuring they will not rust after a few uses in the ground. They are very strong and are easy to get in and out. 180mm Long At 180mm long, the Tuff Dog screw in peg is slightly shorter that the 250mm Ground Dog screw in peg. It is also slightly thicker. Special Shaped Thread and Tapered Shaft Tuff Dog screw in pegs are tapered and have a special shape thread cut into the shaft. The fluting is wider, so they drill in and hold firmly in a wide range of soils. Left thread, they hold fast and don’t pull out during strong and constant winds. 19mm Hex Head Tuff Dog screw in pegs have a 19mm hex head, which makes screwing in the pegs easy and fast! The 19mm head fits a 19mm socket and drill adapter which also fits both the Ground Dog screw in pegs, and the stabilizer legs for caravans – this means you only need to carry one size! Hook Collar The Hook Collar is an awesome feature that comes with the Tuff Dog screw in peg, it can be used with our high viz straps and safety spring. The hook collar is an adjustable locking nut that can be varied to suit the depth of the ground. Below is how to use the screw in peg with some of our other anchoring solutions.How to use Tuff Dog screw in pegs (Hook Collar) – same way as Ground Dog pegs 1. Wind hook collar onto the Ground Dog screw in peg 2. Drill the Ground Dog screw in peg into the ground using a 19mm socket, and a left thread setting 3. Hook the safety spring around the hook collar 4. Hook Collar can be rotated freely to position correctly 5. Thread remaining strap through retaining clip and tighten the high viz tie down strap 6. If the ground is hard, drill the Ground Dog screw in peg as far as possible, and then wind the Hook Collar down to the ground level to hold the peg securely
