I received this laser marking powder specifically to write a review. That said, I try to be honest and open in all my reviews.(Please see the enclosed pictures.)I used the paste on a bunch of cards, and the results were fantastic.The paste will accommodate any level of detail and granularity that your combined software and laser printer can produce.You can see from the pictures that the results were crisp, clean, and legible.The powder is easy to use. The first step is to mix the powder with alcohol to create a paste (1::1 if you are hand painting, and 1::2 if you are using an airbrush).I was worried that my hand-brushed surfaces would create issues, but the powder is very forgiving, and even a small amount will produce great results.Then, you need to let the liquid completely dry. This is mostly because you are using alcohol as your medium, and burning hot lasers and alcohol are not a good combination.Insert the surface with the dried paste into your laser engraver.Once it is finished and cool, remove and thoroughly wash the surface.Voila, you are going to have a wonderful, clean, crisp engraved surface.One caveat, I love this powder and am going to use it all the time now, but it is a commercial product. Try to ensure that you have an open, ventilated area to do your engraving in. The material is designed to oxidize the metal; so, it is not designed for you to breath in large quantities. These warnings are clearly displayed on the package. I was a little overzealous and had to open the windows and doors after engraving the first project. My fault entirely, but I don’t want you to make the same mistake.
